We are proud to share that JDN Property Services Ltd has officially been accredited at Bronze level with the North Lanarkshire Employer Charter, delivered in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council.
This recognition means a lot to us. It reflects not just what we do as a business, but how we do it. It recognises the values we believe in, the culture we are building, and the commitment we have made to our staff, our community, and the future workforce of our industry.
We would also like to say a big thank you to Leea and her colleagues at North Lanarkshire Council for their support, guidance, and encouragement throughout the process. Their work behind the scenes makes initiatives like this possible for local employers.
What the NL Employer Charter Means to Us
The NL Employer Charter is about being a responsible employer. It focuses on fair work, wellbeing, skills development, and giving something back to the communities we operate in. Achieving Bronze status confirms that we are already putting these principles into practice and gives us a clear framework to keep improving.
For us, it is not about ticking boxes. It is about doing the right thing and being recognised for the changes we have worked hard to put in place.
Investing in Our Team
Over the past few years, we have introduced several benefits that put people first and support long-term wellbeing and retention, including:
• A 4-day working week, giving our team better work-life balance without compromising service.
• Private healthcare, providing reassurance and support when it matters most.
• A stronger focus on wellbeing, flexibility, and sustainable workloads.
Being recognised through the Employer Charter reassures us that we are moving in the right direction and gives our team confidence that their employer genuinely values them.
Giving Back Through Volunteering
Community involvement has always been important to us, and this year has already started on a memorable note.
This week, we were asked to help with a volunteering project at a former mortuary, helping to bring the building back to life for future use. It was, admittedly, a bit creepy, with the hooks still on the walls. But it was also incredibly rewarding to play a part in transforming a neglected space into something positive for the community.
These opportunities remind us why we do what we do. We live and work in this area, and giving back is simply part of being a good local business.
Supporting the Next Generation
Another key part of the Employer Charter is supporting young people, and this is an area we are genuinely passionate about.
Throughout 2026, we will be:
• Working more closely with local schools.
• Supporting careers events and talks.
• Offering work experience placements to pupils who want to learn about the construction and property services industry.
We already have pupils booked in for work experience later this year, and we are excited to help them gain real, hands-on insight into potential career paths. Helping young people make informed choices about their future is something we take seriously.
A Strong Start to 2026
Achieving Bronze accreditation with the NL Employer Charter feels like a great way to kick off 2026. With the support of North Lanarkshire Council, Leea, and her team, we are proud of what we have achieved so far and motivated to keep building on it.
We are proud of our team, grateful for the opportunities to support our community, and excited about what lies ahead for JDN Property Services. Exciting times ahead.
